オープン・サロン・ナイト: 6/29 金曜 at 7pm~

SALON de EXPACE is an open salon event that provides free open space to any kind of creative expressions. By giving exhibition opportunities to everyone, it aims to create an exciting art community with different age, background and interest. Everyone is invited to bring and exhibit their works on the salon night and the final result will be a random group exhibition for the following 20 days. This is our annual event and it is our third year of hosting it at AG Gallery.

[DIRECTIONS] PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.

We will start issuing entry cards a day before the actual salon night, at 5pm on Thursday, June 28th, until 8pm or until all the cards are gone - whichever comes first.

We will issue 70 entry cards and guarantee the spots for these 70 artists. Even though you do not have the card, a spot could be available (about 30 spots, but not guaranteed) on the first come, first served basis, on the day of the event. (The event starts at 7pm on friday, June 29th)

The number of the entry card will be your number to enter the gallery at the salon night at 7pm on Friday, June 29th.
Make sure you bring your entry card at the salon night. If you do not show up with your entry card, the spot WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED - NO EXCEPTIONS.

At the salon night, artists will bring a piece (or pieces) for the exhibition and install them in any available spot(s).

After you install the piece(s), please enjoy the night with other artists and audiences and refreshment will be served!

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOOLS (HAMMER AND NAILS) AND ANYTHING YOU NEED TO INSTALL YOUR PIECE(s).

[REQUIREMENTS] PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.

The wall space for each artist is up to 18" x 24" maximum. Multiple numbers of piece could be installed unless they do not exceed 18" x 24". If you bring a piece over the size stated above, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EXHIBIT YOUR WORK EVEN YOU HAVE A VALID ENTRY CARD - Absolutely No Exceptions.

Please ask about the size limit for 3-d work as well as the video and installation piece.

Works in the show will be for sale at the Salon night and during the exhibition period. (If works are sold, the commission for the gallery will be 50%.)

You will be asked to sign a consent form on the Salon night - we will not exhibit your artwork without you signing the form.

[FAQ]

Q1: Can I mail my work to be exhibited in the salon show?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot accept the entry by mail.

Q2: Is there any way to get an entry card without coming to the gallery June 28?
A: No. We will issue the card only for the artists who showed up at the gallery and the cards are limited to 70 that day.

Q3: Can my friend who is also an artist pick one up for me or only for herself?
A: We can issue only one card per person.

Q4: What time should I come pick up the entry card on Thursday 6/28? Should I come earlier than 5pm to be safe?
A: We can't say you should come early or what time specifically. However, there was a line 2 hours before the entry time at the same event last year.

Q5: Do I have to bring my work when I'm picking up my entry card on 28th?
A: No.

Q6: Do I have to email you the image of my work beforehand?
A: No.

Q7: Is there any fee to participate in the show?
A: No. It is a free event.

Q8: Is this your first time hosting this event?
A: This is our third year of hosting this event at AG Gallery.

Q9: Can I come at any time as long as I get my entry card a day before?
A: We will start calling the numbers at 7pm on the day of the event, 29th of June, and you have to be there when we call your number. Otherwise, we will skip the absent numbers and keep calling the next ones. If there are some available spots after we call all the numbers, the space will be open for artists who couldn't receive the entry cards and came to the event.
